The Blue Lagoon on Comino is Malta’s most famous swimming spot — shallow turquoise water, white rock shelves and instant postcard photos. It is also one of the busiest places in the Mediterranean in midsummer.
Best time of day
Aim for the first boats of the morning. By late morning in July–August, pontoons fill with day boats. Late afternoon can improve again as shared cruises leave.
Shared boat vs private charter
Shared cruises are affordable and social. Private charters cost more but let you swim at Crystal Lagoon or caves when the main bay is packed.
